Hi this is first time I have talked with you. Just watched you on James Robinson's program. Congratulations on CD's and hope you have a wonderful trip. I needed to laugh, have had some heavy things going on in my life and I needed your humor to catipolt me over the hump.We are in transition in our ministry and can use prayer. My husband is an evangelist and we believein the whole counsel of GOD and all of the word. We live in NC and most people have a line drawn on the LORD. We know that GOD HAS SENT US OUT. PRAY THAT DOORS WILL OPEN. GOD BLESS YOU------SNOOKS

Hi Chonda!  I read the blog, and I feel handsome when I wear nice clothes lol.  This is not why I am repling to you though.  To start off, I am in ninth grade at the Waynesboro Senior High School in Pennsylvania and I am in a journalism class with an awesome teacher, Mrs. Emily Dickey, who is amazingly funny like you.  Let's just say that one day she decided we were to interview our favorite celebrity and you were one of the first to pop into my mind.  My aunt Theresa introduced your videos to me at the beach this year and I pretty much fell in love with them.  Everytime I feel down, I can put your video in and be brought back to my normal self, which that is why I have chosen you.  If you would like to be interviewed by a 14(going on 15) year old, I think my page information should show up with this post!  Thank you so much for reading this!

OK Chonda, I tried this last night - it said it had posted but I can't find it (I can't find anything, this is so typical for me) so I am trying to remember what I said last night.  At my age, that's about like trying to recall what I said a year ago!

But anyway, Hi.  I think I met you at the last Women's Workshops in Nashville last year.  The first time I saw you and you said, "Hi," I was embarassed like Jackie Gleason and couldn't speak, afraid I'd say "Hummina-humina-hummina" when I opened my mouth.  (Not that I'm a big fan of yours or anything)   Grin

On the "what makes you feel pretty" question, I'd say it's my husband.  I am now disabled, but he still does the things he did when I was young and semi-good-looking.  He writes me love notes.  When he goes to the store, he brings me my favorite, Heath bars.  He picks a rosebud in the yard and brings it to me in a little vase.  He opens doors for me (an art young men today have no way to conceive).  When we go on our weekly date, I try to dress up as much as I can and he tells me I look pretty, even if I am wearing a knee brace and walking with a cane.  As long as someone really cares about you, you have to feel pretty no matter what the physical reality is.  If they love you, they see your soul, not your body, as beautiful.   Cheesy

hey chonda, wow y'all have a slew of conversations going on here! i dig.  Smiley not sure if you'll see my little post way at the bottom, but i just had to drop you a line.

first i have to make a request: can you PLEASE come back to michigan sometime soon??? you're going to be in adrian on january 16th, but that's the day i'm flying to visit family in franklin, tenn of all places (talk about ironic). i am so bummed i'm going to miss you that it's kind of ridiculous, so you know, if any gigs in michigan happen to pop up at all and you decided to take them, i can promise you that you'll make one little girl EXTREMELY happy...  just throwin that out there  Wink

second: THANK YOU GOD FOR YOUR TIMING. He never ceases to amaze me. i first saw you on a gaither tape however many years ago when i was a little girl, saved singing in church and waiting anxiously for the hoppers and the easters and the goodmans to come back to detroit. then literally within the last week i was in a christian bookstore looking for a movie as a christmas present and they happened to have one of your dvds instead. and God places you back in my life however many years later....... remember on "four eyed blonde" when you were talking about nicki cruz and how you sat there when you were 14 and thought "when i grow up i'm gonna get me a testimony." and the one you ended up getting wasn't the one you wanted? ...well, i didn't stay that little girl saved and singing in church, and almost ten years later i'm coming back from a journey i never thought i'd take in the first place. my mother passed away this past spring after a torturous 4 month hospitalization and the whole kit and kaboodle pushed me to a place i almost didn't come back from. but in the midst of the darkest place i've ever been in in my life, God sought me. even after i made the conscious decision to walk away from Him, He sought me out when He knew i was at the end and brought me back to Him.

i hope i get to tell you my full testimony someday. because God's made you a part of my journey back and frankly i think he chose pretty doggone well my traveling companion. Smiley so i guess all i really wanted to say (other than the part about coming here, because...well...you should) is: thank you.

oh! and also that you have a GORGEOUS voice. yeah, that's it. merry christmas!!

I would love to find the music to your song "A Mother's Prayer". Can you tell me where I might get it?

I was searching for "Special Delivery" lyrics online and bumped into your site.  Searched the singer's name to EVIE, never heard her name before.

Anyway I sat here and I thought I'd join.  My website should be up and running soon again.

This is my 2nd year and I love it. you mentioned Evie for special delivery song.  I have her CD "Our Re Collections" and I have known her music since the seventies.  She song at most of Billy Graman meetings.
Good to have you here.  Have you heard Chonda before?  I met her on YouTube - got her videos and books and joined this site.  Us members are just crazy about Chonda.  She has a new DVD about to be release.  We are all waiting for the presales.
